Success Means Changing Behaviour
Step 1 out of 4
There's no doubt about it – giving up smoking doesn't happen at once. Research scientists have found that most people try to give up smoking seven times before they succeed, and unsuccessful quit attempts, while frustrating, are actually part of the process.
But not everyone tries giving up smoking seven times. People who seriously prepare beforehand can successfully give up smoking - even on their first try.
Your chances of quitting for good can increase if you view quitting as a journey, or a healing process that your body goes through. We suggest that you see giving up smoking in this light rather than seeing it as an abrupt and uncomfortable change in your personal lifestyle.
This interactive and personalised programme is designed to help you give up smoking and the exercises are divided into six major milestones. Think of each milestone as a destination you're trying to reach. It usually takes from 10 – 30 minutes to complete the exercises in each milestone.
After you complete the exercises in each milestone your airplane will move along the runway located at the left-hand side of your screen. The work you complete in each milestone is stored in your Suitcase so you can review past exercises at any time.
